Set up your company details
Enter your company details once – they are the foundation for correct quotes, invoices and e-invoices.
Before you really get started, you should complete your company details. You will find them in the settings under “Company”, split across the tabs Company, Billing and Documents. These details appear automatically on your documents later on – the more complete they are, the less you have to fill in per invoice.
Company
The basic details of your company – they appear in the sender area of your documents.
Company name: The name of your company as it should appear on invoices and quotes.
Email: Your business email address – contact detail and sender for sending documents.
Website & phone: Optional contact channels that make your documents look more professional and easier to reach you with for follow-up questions.
Address: Your full business address (street, optional additional line, postcode, city, state/region and country). A mandatory part of a proper invoice.
Language: Your company's default language (German or English). It is the preset for new documents.
Taxation method: Accrual or cash accounting – the basis for when Nori applies VAT. Choose the option that applies to your company.
Receipt recognition (OCR): Determines whether Nori reads receipts automatically via the external recognition service.
Billing
This is where you store all the tax- and payment-relevant details. You should fill in your VAT ID and bank details in particular.
Tax identifiers: VAT ID, tax number, commercial register number and register court – they belong on your invoices and in your e-invoices.
Bank details: Bank name, IBAN and BIC. They appear on the invoice and feed the SEPA-QR code for scan-to-pay.
Default currency & payment term: The currency and payment term (in days) that are preset for new invoices.
Tax rates: Set your default tax rate and hide any system rates you do not need. You also configure the small-business scheme and OSS registration here.
E-invoice: Enable e-invoices and choose the default format (e.g. ZUGfeRD or XRechnung). To submit to the Austrian federal government, you also store your USP/BRZ access credentials.
Documents
In the “Documents” tab you control the appearance and numbering of your invoices and quotes.
Number ranges: Prefix and format for invoice and quote numbers. If you use your own system, you can map it here – including the starting number Nori should continue from when you switch part-way through the year.
Default templates: Choose the templates used by default for invoices, quotes and timesheets.
Texts: Store intro and footer texts for invoices and quotes so every document reads consistently without retyping.
Email defaults: Default subject and body for sending, signature and reply-to address.
Payment QR code: Set whether the SEPA-QR code appears on every invoice by default.
